CA Insurance Commissioner Names New Community Relations Deputy
Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner announced today that Heather Lambert will serve as Deputy Insurance Commissioner for Community Relations.
Lambert previously served as External Affairs Coordinator in the Office of Governor Schwarzenegger, where she worked extensively as a liaison between the public safety, business, education and local government communities. She also served as deputy appointments secretary for Governor Schwarzenegger. During her tenure, Lambert’s portfolio included the Department of Consumer Affairs, Governor’s Office of Planning and Research, Department of Homeland Security, Office of Emergency Services, Office of the Inspector General, Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of the Inspector General, California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation, California National Guard, Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission, California Service Corps, California Arts Council, Fair Boards, California Lottery and the California Gambling Control Commission.
Lambert most recently served as the deputy director for corporate communications at the California Lottery overseeing all media, legislation and external affairs.
“Heather’s wealth of experience and knowledge will prove to be a great addition to the Department and an asset for California consumers,” said Commissioner Poizner. “Her expertise as a liaison for a wide array of community groups throughout the state complements her dedication to the people of California.
